The Grecale has a good range of drivetrains. All-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission are paired with each engine. The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 296 horsepower; the Modena trim level additionally offers a high-output version of that engine with 325 horsepower. The high-output four-cylinder engine had some turbo lag during our initial test drive, but we largely appreciated the powertrain for its brisk acceleration and ample power.
In the Grecale’s faster drive modes, the ride is forgiving, and when the Comfort option is selected, it is practically plush. Although the Grecale’s agility is simple to take advantage of and handling is pretty neutral, the Porsche Macan nevertheless offers a more enjoyable driving experience.
