The same 280-hp 3.5-liter V-6 engine and nine-speed automated transmission found in the Pilot are present here. In our tests, the Passport was nippy, its ride was pleasant on most highways, and the steering was pleasingly direct, making it feel snappy. It also boasts 8.1 inches of ground clearance, which is enough to get you through some rough terrain without chewing up the underside—but this is no true off-roader. It is, nevertheless, a capable tow vehicle, capable of pulling up to 5000 pounds.

The front seats are spacious and comfy, with an adjustable armrest for maximum comfort.
The back seat is likewise spacious, allowing the Passport to transport up to five passengers. Behind the back seat is 41 cubic feet of storage space, which housed 15 of our carry-on luggage. By folding that row, you get 78 cubes of space and the ability to carry a total of 33 bags. Interior cubby storage is excellent overall, thanks to usable bins located throughout the cabin and a large center-console bin.
