Exterior
The Q8’s steering requires little effort and provides linear feedback, which is pleasant on long trips but tedious on switchback roads. Our test vehicle had the optional air suspension and 22-inch wheels rather than the standard 21-inches. Even on bumpy surfaces, these huge rollers were mostly silent.
Our Q8 was agile in tight spaces and capable of tackling choppy terrain thanks to adjustable ride height and four-wheel steering (included with the Adaptive Chassis package). Its brake pedal was simple to modulate at highway speeds but had inconsistent responses in traffic. Nonetheless, it slowed the hefty crossover from 70 mph to zero in a respectable 170 feet during our emergency braking test.

Interior
Audi has created a sophisticated and durable environment inside the Q8 in typical Audi fashion. The materials are high-quality, and the panels are precisely aligned. While the base model lacks upscale features like four-zone climate control and a leather dashboard with contrast stitching, it does include heated front seats and a panoramic sunroof as standard.
Only the top-tier model comes with rubbing front seats, upgraded leather surface areas, and quieter dual-pane glass. All of this, plus a head-up screen and customizable ambient interior lighting, was available in our test vehicle. The Q8 is not only visually appealing, but it also has plenty of passenger space. Despite its elevated height, the driving position remains sporty, and two adults can stretch out in the back.
