The first time the 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB rumbles past, all reservations about Ferrari neutering its latest creation by placing a V6 amidships are removed. There’s a thunderous engine note shattering the air, a warning that the gradual and eventual end of petrol power will one day leave a dark hole in the automobile world. Today isn’t one of those days. Ferrari isn’t going down without a fight, imbuing its “first-ever” V6 with a soundtrack that is both a celebration of all that is good and right about supercars (Ferrari’s words, not mine). The Ferrari 296 GTB is a new chapter in the history of the Prancing Horse. Ferrari 296 GTB Coupe Price in Pakistan 2022.
Ferrari, on the other hand, is promoting its first-ever V6 engine. Despite what today’s auction catalogs and eye-watering prices might suggest, the famed Dino 206 and 246 of the 1960s and 1970s are not Ferraris.
The Ferrari 296 GTB has a starting price of $568,300 (including on-road charges), and local deliveries are slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2022. A slew of personalization possibilities will undoubtedly add a significant amount of money to the bottom line. For the time being, details are scant, save for the $73,299 Assetto Fiorano package, which we believe is superfluous unless you value exclusivity and want to unleash Ferrari’s latest Berlinetta on the track; the base car is all the 296 GTB you’ll ever need.
It’s a looker, too, drawing inspiration from the iconic 1963 Ferrari 250 LM. The wide haunches with its gaping air intakes are complemented by flying buttresses that house the upright rear windscreen; a design that is at once retrospective and practical. It’s a long time since we’ve sat in a Ferrari with rearward visibility as good as this one. Ferrari 296 GTB Coupe 2022 Price in Pakistan.

The V6 produces 478kW and 740Nm on its own, which is more than enough for a spectacular driving experience. The twin turbochargers are placed perfectly inside the 120-degree vee of the 2.9-liter V6; packaging that, according to Ferrari, allows for faster response times due to the forced air’s shorter journey to the combustion chambers. The turbos are slightly smaller than those found in the F8 Tributo, yet they spin at a mind-boggling 180,000 RPM.
The drive is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. But, if 478kW and 740Nm aren’t enough, a 122kW and 315Nm electric motor powered by a 7.45kWh battery add some zing to the impetus.
Under the blackened glass engine cover (for those wanting to ogle the engineering that has gone into this car, you get clear Lexan glass with the Assetto Fiorano package) lives the beating heart of the 296 GTB. It’s an all-new engine, a twin-turbo V6 with a displacement of 2992cc that gives the 296 GTB its name. Following Ferrari’s long-running nomenclature – ‘29’ or 2.9 liters, ‘6’ for six-cylinder, and GTB for Gran Turismo Berlinetta.
