Changan Unveils cd701 Concept Car. Changan Automobile Chairman Zhu Huarong stated that the CD701 is Changan’s first car built on SDA architecture. Changan’s focus on providing a comprehensive travel experience enhanced by smart technology is reflected in the vehicle.
The interior looks like it’s from a sci-fi movie, but it still has a minimalist feel with an SUV and pickup design. The center of the C-shaped light cluster has delineated stripes, while the sides slide backward with five-spoke wheels, and the rear has standard taillights and adjustable ambient lighting.
Wind resistance is reduced by low wind resistance wheels and streamlined exterior mirrors, which are combined with other design elements to give the vehicle a sleek and efficient appearance and energy consumption. Changan Unveils cd701 Concept Car will be coming soon.
The vehicle, however, lacks an instrument panel. It may use a HUD (heads-up display) design, but it also includes a large screen in the central control area. It is expected that some changes will be made once the vehicle enters mass production. Finally, environmentally friendly materials are used in the seat backs and other interior materials.
Changan Unveils cd701 Exterior
The company announced in early 2022 that it would focus on the SDA architecture in the coming years. The company expects to release more than 20 new intelligent electric cars over the next five years, and 11 new products, including coupes, SUVs, and MPVs, over the next three years.
Changan Automobile revealed the launch of a brand-new technology brand called ‘Zhuge Intelligence earlier this week. The company will create three core experiences under the new brand: ‘Zhuge Interaction,’ ‘Zhuge Intelligent Driving,’ and ‘Zhuge Ecosystem.’ These systems will provide various smart functions to Changan’s new vehicles.
Interior
The design is inspired by Sportback SUVs like the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupe, as well as Polestar 2. The grille is closed, with a C-shaped DRL strip on each side. The sloping roofline and beefy five-spoke wheels on the CD701 will reduce air drag. The taillight cluster is designed similarly to the headlights.
The images show a minimalist interior with a light color scheme that exudes comfort and elegance. The futuristic steering wheel and massive main display on the dashboard indicate that the vehicle will be loaded with high-tech features.
